Our founder, Monica Hartsock, is a litigation strategist, trial attorney, and lifelong
advocate for the underdog. In addition to leading Sandbar, she is the founder of The Law Office of Monica Hartsock, where she represents plaintiffs directly in civil cases. Monica began her career on the defense side, gaining firsthand insight into how powerful entities operate—knowledge she now uses to support plaintiffs facing uphill battles, often against deep-pocketed corporate opponents. Judges have praised her “crafty lawyering” and “great skill,” colleagues rely on her to steady the ship when deadlines loom, and jurors have been visibly moved in her cases.

Monica’s approach is rooted in clarity. Outside the courtroom, she is a national speaker, educator, and mentor, training attorneys in trial skills, consumer protection law, and the art of connecting with juries.
